My Last Game
On October 29, 2012 was our last game. We played against West Briar. We started out pretty good, 7 to 0 if I can remember, but then it started to go downhill from there. I didn’t want to think that we were going to lose our last game but from the looks of how we were starting I couldn’t help myself. But we did lose the first game. Then we came through the second game and won. So that means there is a tie breaker game. We played good. Then it got to 24 to 24 and whoever gets 25 is the winner. West Briar serves. We miss. They win. Suddenly the referee says they have to win by two points, so that means they have to get 26 not 25. They serve again. Short which means it didn’t make it over the net. We win that point. Now it’s 25 to 25 and the next point wins. It’s our turn to serve. Abbie, my friend, serves. It makes it over but a girl hits it back over it comes to me. I bumped it back over to the girl right in front of me on the other side of the net and she hits it out. We get that point. We win. We won our last game against West Briar! Good but bad. It’s the last time I’ll play volleyball with my team. We’ve had a good season and it was a lot of fun, I learned a lot too. I will continue to play volleyball and I will never forget the first time I ever played it.

Volleyball Tournament
Saturday October 21, 2012 was tournament day. On Friday after school my friend Abbie (you all know her as the person who dragged me to the volleyball try-outs) slept over so that the next morning her mom is going to take us to the stadium. The next morning we woke up at 6:30 Am because we had to be there by 7:45 or they wouldn't accept us. After we got dress her mom came and picked us up. When we arrived Abbie and I located our group and immediately began practicing. First we do what's called a Pool Game. Where we play three games that go only up to 15 point and we are by our wins and losses. There was gold, silver, and bronze. We got placed in the silver bracket. The first silver game we played YES prep, and YES we beat them. Our next game was Pin oak. We won the first game they won the second game and they won third tie breaking game. We walked to the front to claim our trophy feeling dejected. We ended up winning second place silver. Personally, I was happy with what we got. Although second place is not the same as first place it’s better than getting third place bronze. J

Volleyball Serves and Moves
I really want to talk about volleyball moves and serves. I mostly want to talk about them for me since I want to review what I know. Ok, let's start with volleyball moves. I really only know four main ones. The first one is called Digging. You put one hand out like you are going to punch someone then your other hand around it. When the ball comes at you hit it with your arms somewhere before the wrist and after the elbow. The next one is called Setting. To do this move you put your hands above your face in the shape of the ball and hit it only using the tip of your fingers. After that there's Spiking. Personally this one's my favorite. When the ball is in the air by the net you jump up and hit it over with one hand. The last one I know is Blocking. For this one when the ball is coming over you jump up and try to block the ball using only your hands and try not to let your hands go on the other side of the net. Now serves. There are two types of serving overhand and underhand. I usually do underhand but for the past two weeks I've been trying overhand. underhand is easier all you have to do is hold the ball in front of you below your waist, bend over, swing your arm backward than forward and hit the ball. For Overhand, what you do is stand up straight and throw the ball up and you hit it with you hand. That's basically all I know. If I said anything wrong please tell me in the comments.

My First Time Playing Volleyball
Volleyball is an amazing sport to play for me. I never knew how or what is volleyball. When I started 7th grade my friend dragged me to volleyball try-outs. She’s been playing since she was in third grade. I’ve played basketball for two years when I saw volleyball I immediately caught it and turned to the basketball hoop. My friend was looking at me weirdly and started teaching me the basics. Within 30 minutes I was dramatically better. The try-outs were divided into two days. Day one was the endurance test. IT WAS TERRIBLE. We ran, did jump ropes, did wall jumps, and suicides, all at the same time to see if we can do more things after we were tired. The second day was all about skills. We were judged and given points on what we could do like bumping, serving, and setting. At that time I have never touched a volleyball, so I was really bad. The next day the list was posted. My friend and I got accepted to the team. At first I was surprised to see my name up on the list because my playing was very bad compared to the other girls who didn't get accepted, but then I said to myself I will learn and become better. The next day was practice. We were told our position and teams. There was the A Team and the B Team, A team being better and B team being ok. So, of course, I was placed on the B Team. In games, the A team starts. A couple of games later, I got moved up to the A team and nicknamed the "Net Player".
